A PRAYER FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A lot of God's people are afraid. Many are without employment and are dependant upon the government to provide for them during this period; some for the first time in their lives. Many feel betrayed; were promised "hope" and "change," getting the change, but not what they expected, and certainly not what they hoped for. The future looks bleak as they are beginning to see that they have been deceived, lied to, and their hope is being dashed by broken promises and promises that were never intended to be kept. Many of them are losing their homes and some are watching their life savings and retirement plans evaporate right before their eyes. Real fear is starting to grip them as they feel their country is being stolen from them, while their leaders are telling them that the worst is over and it's getting better; just give them time to fix it.





The country is more divided now than anytime since the War Between the States. There are those of us who are trying to preserve our heritage which was founded on Godly principles and there are those on the other side who want tear down what we have stood for and fought for for 230 plus years, and remake it into something completely opposite of what we believe and what the founders intended. Our Lord was adamantly clear when He said, "a country divided against itself cannot stand." We are in a war, many call it a culture war, but really it isn't a war of flesh and blood, but a war being fought in the spiritual realm. The Apostle Paul wrote about this in his letter to the Ephesians. "We war not against flesh and blood, but of the rulers, against the powers, against the principalities of darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12





Since we are to fight this war in the spiritual realm, we have been provided by Our Lord the spiritual weapons we are to use. Our main weapon is prayer, and when used collectively, it becomes a mighty force that can overtake anything, anybody, anywhere. Our main problem is seeing the manifestation of prayer, and that can be disheartening if we don't see results right away. The reason being, we don't understand how God works, and sometimes, the results come at us piece meal or in stages. For the most part, we can't see the forest for all the trees or the entire picture and of course all this depends on what we are praying for. Simple prayers usually get simple answers and quick results. Other, more complicated prayers require setup, for example, one thing has to happen before something else can happen. All in all, God answers prayer as long as we stand in faith believing, but works in His own time and his own way. Also, the number of people you have united in faith believing has a great deal to do with how prayers are answered. In my own case, back in 1996, I lay near death in a coma on a heart pump. The doctors had no hope of me surviving my second major heart attack. However, prayer chains from all over began praying for me, and perhaps as many as a thousand people at one time were praying for me. I survived long enough to get a heart transplant which I've had for over thirteen years and have lived as close to a normal life as anyone could expect under these circumstances. So, for me, I don't need to be be convinced that miracles happen; I am one.

Everything it seems that we believe in, our way of life, our spiritual lives, and institutions of marriage and family are under attack. We can see with our own eyes how Satan goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The following is a prayer for our country. I have been praying a lot for our country lately, and to be honest, I find it difficult to pray for our leaders, or those that are in power at this time. I cannot bring myself to ask God to bless them, but I do pray for their salvation, a change in their hearts, and a renewing of their minds, along with their protection, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

A PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY

MOST RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY HEAVENLY FATHER,

FORGIVE US LORD FOR WE AS A NATION HAVE SINNED. YOU ARE A MOST RIGHTEOUS AND JUST GOD AND IT IS RIGHT FOR YOU TO JUDGE US HARSHLY.
WE HAVE BECOME COMPLACENT, LAZY, AND FAT WHILE DEVELOPING AN ATTITUDE OF ENTITLEMENT AND EXPECTATION. WE HAVE TAKEN YOU FOR GRANTED, SIR , FOR WE HAVE ALLOWED MATERIALISM, SELFISHNESS AND COVETOUSNESS TO ENTER INTO OUR THOUGHTS MANIFESTING IN THE WAY WE LIVE OUR LIVES. IN OUR QUEST TO PILE UP WEALTH AND MATERIAL POSSESSIONS, WE FIND OURSELVES HEAVILY IN DEBT AND ENSLAVED TO THE LENDERS. IF WE DO NOT GET WHAT WE WANT WHEN WE WANT IT, WE FIND OURSELVES FULL OF JEALOUSY, ENVY AND RAGE. AS A RESULT, WE ARE DRIVEN TO WORK LONG HOURS AT THE EXPENSE OF BEING THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY AND FORCE THE MOTHERS OF OUR CHILDREN TO ENTER THE WORKPLACE. BY DOING SO, WE HAVE OPENED THE DOOR TO ADULTERY, AND BROKEN MARRIAGES WHILE AT THE SAME TIME WE HAVE HANDED OVER OUR CHILDREN FOR OTHERS TO RAISE AND BE TAUGHT THE WAYS OF THE WORLD WHICH WE KNOW ARE NOT YOUR WAYS. OUR CHILDREN ARE BEING TAUGHT TO BE POLITICALLY CORRECT, TO BE TOLERANT AND GIVE ACCEPTANCE TO THOSE OF OTHER ALTERNATIVE, PERVERTED LIFESTYLES.

WE HAVE ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICIALS, ALL THE WAY UP THE LADDER, FROM THE LOCAL LEVEL TO THE TOP TO THE PRESIDENCY BECAUSE THEY STAND FOR SOME SELFISH SPECIAL INTEREST THAT WE HAVE. NOW, WE FIND OURSELVES AT THE MERCY OF OUR OWN GOVERNMENT WHO IS USING DECEPTION AND LIES TO MANIPULATE US INTO ACCEPTING THEM TO BE OUR PROVIDERS INSTEAD OF YOU. THESE ARE THE SAME ONES WHO ARE TRYING TO HAVE ANY REFERENCE OF YOU REMOVED FROM OUR PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND OUR MONEY WITH THEIR FALSE PROMISE OF PROVIDING FOR US FROM OUR CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

WE HAVE LEGALLY ALLOWED THE MURDER OF INNOCENT UNBORN BABIES WHILE SPARING THE LIVES OF HARDENED MURDERERS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE AND THEIR CHILDREN GOING ABOUT THEIR DAILY WORK. WE HAVE ALLOWED YOUR CHURCH TO BECOME CORRUPTED, PERMITTING FALSE DOCTRINE, WORLDLY ENTERTAINMENT AND APOSTASY TO ENTER IN. MANY OF OUR CHURCH LEADERS ARE LIVING IN SIN AND ARE ALLOWING SIN TO BE CARRIED OUT IN YOUR CHURCH. IN OUR FEEBLE EFFORTS TO ADVANCE YOUR KINGDOM TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS, WE RESORT TO WORLDLY METHODS AND ATTRACTIONS INSTEAD OF TAKING THE UNFETTERED, UNMITIGATED AND UNADULTERATED WORD OF GOD TO THE PEOPLE. TOO MANY OF US HAVE BECOME LIKE THE MONEY CHANGERS IN THE TEMPLE WHICH YOUR SON JESUS SCOURGED WITH A WHIP, TURNING OVER THEIR MONEY TABLES.

WE HAVE ABANDONED ISRAEL, TO FACE HER ENEMIES THAT OVERWHELMINGLY SURROUND HER, CONDEMNING HER IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD AS SHE TRIES TO PROTECT HER PEOPLE AND HOLD ON TO THAT LITTLE PIECE OF LAND WHICH YOU GAVE HER.

WE CONFESS THAT WE HAVE LOST SIGHT OF YOU, LORD, AND WE PRAY FOR MERCY NOW THAT OUR WORLD IS COLLAPSING ALL AROUND US, FOR NOW WE SEE THAT WE ONLY HAVE YOU TO LOOK TO FOR OUR SALVATION. SAVE US LORD. SAVE US FROM OURSELVES. OPEN THE EYES OF YOUR CHILDREN, LORD, AND HELP US TO UNITE UNDER YOUR BANNER. WE PRAY FOR REVIVAL, SIR, ON A GRAND SCALE, THE LIKES THE WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, THAT IT WILL LEAVE NO DOUBT IN ANYONE, ANYWHERE, THAT THERE IS INDEED IS A GOD IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. WE PRAY THAT ONCE AGAIN THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE THAT BRIGHTLY SHINING LIGHT UPON THE HILL THAT EVERYONE IN THE WORLD WILL SEE. WE PRAY THIS PRAYER IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.


IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, WILL TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR THEM FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEM OF THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND. 2 CHRONICLES 7:14
